This Exciting 4 day tour features a return Hovercraft trip accross the Solent to the Isle of Wight. During the crossing we experience a special craft manoeuvre demonstration including a 360 degree turn. Once we have landed on the Isle of Wight there is free time in the busy town of Ryde. During our time on the south coast we also visit the Hovercraft Museum and spent time at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard where you can experience climbing aboard lord nelsons ship, HMS Victory.
Day 1
we will be travelling to the marriot Portsmouth, located on the outskirts of portsmouth is this stunning 4* Hotel which will become home for the next 3 nights
Day 2
Today, is the highlight of our trip as we board our chartered Hovercraft at Southsea for the journey across the Solent to Ryde on the Isle of Wight. The short crossing features a special Hovercraft demonstration including 360-degree turns and deflating the skirt to 'float like a boat'. Once we arrive at Ryde, there will be a chance to meet the pilot and crew and enjoy an external view of the Hovercraft. There will be some free time in Ryde to explore the islands largest town, before boarding the Hovercraft for the 10-minute journey back to the mainland
Day 3
Today we visit the Hovercraft Museum in Lee-on-Solent, a working museum which preservers and maintains the crafts in it's care, including those featured in James Bond film 'Die Another Day'. We then travel back to Portsmouth for the historic dockyard, where you can visit Kind Henry 8ths own vessel, the Mary Rose launched in 1511. Or even Lord Nelson's vessel, HMS Victory.
Day 4
We depart Portsmouth after a history and experience rich couple of days
